I have to say Uncharted got shafted big time on metacrtic for not being rated 90 or over. It's 90 on gamerankings though, it's one of the best games i've ever played to be honest.
1 more thing i love reading you guys comments. Keep em coming.
Soon to be BIOSHOCK, Call of Duty 4, Oblivion and Rockband fishd.
We all know the Patriots are keeping metacrtic and gamerankings database from receiving all the links to sites that reviewed MGS4 and gave it a 10. Those damn Patriots, they control everything.
Could be interesting playing as the Boss. But the only way i'd be buying the next metal gear solid is if i get to play as youngish Ocelot or post mgs2 Raiden.
But the only way i'm buying MGS5 is if i get to play as Ocelot sometime after MGS3 as he improves his combat abilities. Or if it's about Raiden and what he did while in between MGS2 and MGS4. Other than that Kojima should get to work on a new Snatcher or Zone of Enders. Maybe even a new IP would be interesting.
I understand and pretty much get the half-life story. I know the tyrant is nothing more but a figurehead etc. But in my opinion the fact remains that the whole alien part serves as filler more or less in my opinion. You mostly play as a man on the run trying to protect himself and lead a resistance. Somewhat. It's just not as deep to me as people make it out to be.
As for the direction in storytelling in games i can agree with you there. The industry does need something a bit mo...
Thing that you bring up Xi. I ultimately believe in games being a form of entertainment the same as movies or books. I don't really look at how the storytelling is done as much as what is the content and how well crafted it is. MGS4 for me was a achievement in greatly executed storytelling in video games to date. I think one huge advantage for video games over movies is immersion.
When you go to the movies or buy a dvd you are watching a group or one man/woman's tale. In video ga...
We'll all miss you dearly. Not your games though.
Ubi, there's no need to go the EA route and put out a new game in a franchise each year. Take your time with ass creed 2 to have a more verbose selection of side missions and make the desmond parts better.
Since when did they review video games? And on a 4 rating scale? Jeez they might as well have a skip it, rent it, or buy it rating.
Do you get back pain while playing the game as well as smoke a cig to relieve the stress of boss battles?
A decent port. It would make my day for whenever i get this game.
Please explain what story in the Half Life series? As far as i'm concerned the plot to it is pretty asinine. It basically consists of running away from "the man". There is very little plot to HL2, it's sort of a running theme in Valve games.
The Fear and the end over the pain and the fury. But all of the cobra member boss battles was epic.
5: Kain vs Raziel (the first time) in Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. He was a bastard to take down. And is one of my first memories of a epic 3-D boss battle.
4: Kratos vs Hydra in God of War. I know it was intended to be the final boss in the game but they decided to have it be the first boss. And from that moment on God of War captivated me with the Hydra boss battle. There was other better boss battles in the God of War series but this one started it all in my mind.

Very fortunate for 360 owners, i love me some Shmup's.
I don't feel that way at all. Companies in general goes where the money is at, it's part of the business. I don't mind at all to be completely honest with you if they make Res5 a timed exclusive. For me it's all about quality of the game and something that it brings new to the series as a whole or games. Not just that but entertainment overall. With some of the sequels to big franchises they have they seem to me more less reskins with a few extra things sprinkled around. That's the only thing...
It's good choices for Capcom, and great for 360 owners. There's no love lost there. But there's been 2 games from Capcom that i was looking forward to alot. 1 being DMC4 which turned out to be like i said above a reskinned DMC3. I felt a bit slighted i guess i got my hopes up to much, but it was underwelming. Sure it's still a good game but i wanted more than just DMC3 all over again. SF4 when it was first announced i was soooo pumped for it.
Then i seen the characters faces whi...
But after buying the special edition of DMC4 and being very underwelmed i have to say. I haven't viewed Capcom in the same light since. It seems like to me they've gotten a bit lazy. DMC4 is DMC3 reskinned with a few extra things sprinkled on top, SF4 looks like SF2 with new characters and graphics and Res5 looks like a repainted Res4 with something new sprinkled on. Lost Planet always looked like @ss, Dead Rising is the only good thing i've saw from them lately. Also they got rid of Clover s...
Let Mirrors Edge be awesome like i think it can be. Minimize the action parts and focus on platforming elements.
